    [New Feature] Now even easier to link the on-site report system "i-Reporter" with the BI tool "MotionBoard Cloud"

    The integration between the on-site report system "i-Reporter" and the BI tool "MotionBoard Cloud" has been further improved.

    Until now, the complicated setup work on both systems has been a bottleneck, but with this update, the integration setup can be completed just by operating the i-Reporter side.
    No configuration is required on the MotionBoard side, reducing configuration time by approximately 60%.

    Added time display function to "Date" and "Calendar Date" clusters in the field report system "i-Reporter"

    i-Reporter will be enhanced to add a time display function to the year/month/date cluster and calendar year/month/date cluster.

    This function allows date and time information, which was previously managed separately, to be recorded, managed, and linked in a single cluster.
    This reduces the work required to set up a cluster and to set up integration with BI tools using date and time.

    [2025 Survey] 74.1% of manufacturing companies are using generative AI in their work, with ChatGPT being the most widely used

    We recently conducted a "Survey on the Actual Use of Generative AI in the Manufacturing Industry" targeting 109 desk-workers in the manufacturing industry who primarily use PCs for their daily work.
    This survey revealed the current state of use of generative AI in manufacturing, as well as its penetration rate, utilization methods, challenges, and expectations for the future.

    🔹 Survey Topics (Excerpt)
    74.1% of manufacturing desk workers responded that they are currently using generative AI in their work.
    ・Businesses in which it is used:
    1st place: "Creating emails and documents," followed by "Searching and summarizing technical information" (58.3% each)
    ・Generative AI tools used:
    1st place “ChatGPT” (66.7%), 2nd place “Microsoft Copilot” (55.0%)
    ・Challenges in use:
    The most common response was "I'm worried about the accuracy and reliability of the output" (53.3%).

    Given the current market environment, the costs of operating services have risen significantly due to the following factors:
    -Increased cloud infrastructure operating costs
    Due to rising energy and maintenance costs related to servers and data centers, the burden of providing stable SaaS services is increasing.
    - Impact of exchange rate fluctuations
    The continued depreciation of the yen has led to rising prices for major cloud services and external software in Japan. This, combined with regular price revisions by foreign vendors, has had a significant impact on procurement and operational costs.

    i-Reporter is rebranding! With a new logo and website, it is becoming a brand that fully supports on-site DX.

    CIMTOPS Corporation. will be rebranding its field reporting system "i-Reporter" on May 1, 2025, and has released a new logo and official website.
    We will provide more comprehensive support for on-site DX than ever before and evolve into a brand that is close to all workplaces.

    This renewal is a redefinition of the brand, preserving its traditional values while looking ahead to its 35th anniversary in 2026.
    While cherishing our original goal of going paperless on-site, we are determined to continue to evolve and work closely with even more sites in the future.

    Are signs of "DX fatigue" in manufacturing? The reality of a return to analog is revealed ~ Survey Report 2025 Edition Released ~

    We recently conducted a 2025 survey targeting 102 people who manage on-site documents in the manufacturing industry (with 50 or more employees).
    In this survey, 69.6% of respondents still manage documents on paper or in Excel, revealing a trend toward a return to analog methods compared to the previous survey (2022).
    It has become clear that even after introducing DX, it has not yet taken root in the workplace, and that there are workplaces that are facing issues that could be described as "digital fatigue."

    On the other hand, awareness of the "2025 cliff" was at 89.2%, and willingness to adopt electronic forms was at 91.5%, both of which were very high levels, highlighting the contradiction in manufacturing sites where people "know about it but can't change it."
    The survey also pointed out a number of factors contributing to the slowdown in DX, such as a lack of uniformity in recording methods and delays in cloud adoption.
    There is an increasing need to move beyond simply "introducing" the digitization of field documents to "establishing it" and achieving "tangible results."
