Questions about technical information and specifications
Currently, i-Reporter does not have an OCR function. However, the company plans to release an AI-OCR function called "EdgeOCR" in fiscal year 2025 to further promote the digitization of on-site documents.
This OCR function is planned to be implemented as a native app that runs on iOS (iPad/iPhone) devices, and is designed to read characters and labels from document data quickly and accurately on a tablet in the field, without going through the cloud, and to visualize and digitize them in real time.
Supports reading handwritten characters, barcodes, printed characters, metal engravings, etc. High-speed reading processing of 0.1 seconds improves business speed
The reading results are automatically entered into the report cluster, and can be linked to external systems (API compatible).
The reading results are displayed on the screen using AR, and you can immediately determine whether they match or do not match the matching list.
Fully offline compatible, it can be used on-site regardless of the communication environment
This OCR function is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the efficiency of input work in on-site information recording, reducing human error, and automating label recognition.
Going forward, the company plans to further strengthen its OCR models and cluster settings to meet the needs of various industries, including manufacturing. Development is currently underway with the aim of officially releasing the software in 2025.
